Kingston Parish Church

Play with the London Mozart Players!

The London Mozart Players open their concert at Kingston Parish Church on Saturday 29th November with the Concerto Grosso by Ralph Vaughan Williams. Written in 1950, the piece calls for three string orchestras – a professional group, a youth orchestra, and a third group of amateur players of all abilities. For this concert, the LMP is delighted to be joined by the Thames Youth Orchestra, and invites members of the general public, Thames Concerts’ audience, families and friends to become involved by playing in the third orchestra.

String players of all ages and abilities are welcome to take part – the music is graded with parts for beginners, intermediate and advanced players – and there will be a series of rehearsals leading to the concert, held in Kingston venues, led by LMP principal string players.

A commitment to all the rehearsals is essential, and these take place as follows:

Monday 24th November: 7.00 – 8.45 pm Tiffin Girls’ School, Kingston
Saturday 29th November: 10.30 – 12 noon Tiffin Boys’ School, Kingston
2.00 – 3.00 pm Kingston Parish Church (staging and positioning)
