Our new season builds on the success of the 2006/2007 series of concerts, which attracted full houses to Kingston Parish Church and the Landmark Arts Centre. The unique acoustics of both venues offer unparalleled experiences for our audiences and our resident orchestras, the London Mozart Players and The Hanover Band, have devised programmes specifically for both settings.

A thread running through the season is the music and influence of Johann Sebastian Bach, including performances of the complete motets and David Juritz returning from his Round the world and Bach busking tour. We also celebrate Elgar’s anniversary and introduce that of Vaughan Williams; there is a rare outing for the Beethoven Triple Concerto in a full orchestral programme featuring the Patron of Thames Concerts, Howard Shelley; Tiffin Boys’ Choir perform the Duruflé Requiem at the Landmark Arts Centre; and there is the opportunity to hear music of the classical era on both modern and period instruments. Our first concert launches the Kingston Festival of the Voice.

Booking the complete series of concerts offers a secure and manageable way of ensuring you have the best seats for the whole season as well as the advantage of a series discount to give prices ranging from just £25 for students to £90 for front seats.

Thames Concerts are organised entirely by volunteers and a way of becoming involved is to become a Member. For just £15 you will receive the benefits of priority booking, a monthly newsletter and a complimentary ticket to the concert of Late Romantic Sextets on January 26th.

I do hope you will be able to join us in our most ambitious and exciting season to date.
